Product Description:

• Nexpro 40 Tablet is used to treat conditions related to excessive stomach acid production, such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.


• It reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach, providing relief from symptoms and promoting healing.


• It can also prevent stomach ulcers caused by certain medications like NSAIDs.

How To Use:

• Take Nexpro 40 Tablet in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor.


• Swallow it whole, do not chew, crush, or break it.


• It is to be taken on an empty stomach, preferably in the morning or at least 1 hour before a meal.


• It is usually taken once a day, first thing in the morning, but if taken twice a day, take one dose in the morning and one in the evening, at least 1 hour before a meal with water.

Side Effects:

• Common side effects include vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, headache, and flatulence. Long-term use may increase the risk of side effects such as low magnesium levels, weak bones, bone fractures, stomach infections, and vitamin B12 deficiency.


• It may cause dizziness and blurred vision, affecting the ability to drive. Contraindications: Not usually recommended during pregnancy (consult doctor due to potential risks) and should be used with caution during breastfeeding, holding breastfeeding until treatment is completed and the drug is eliminated.


• Caution is advised with alcohol consumption as it may increase stomach acid production.

Precautions:

• Inform your doctor if you have severe liver problems, are taking medicines for HIV, have had allergic reactions to similar medicines, or have osteoporosis. Long-term use requires regular tests for magnesium levels. Avoid driving or operating machinery if dizziness or blurred vision occurs. Safe for use in kidney and liver disease patients with no dose adjustment needed, but caution in severe renal insufficiency.


• Inform doctor if symptoms persist after 14 days or if side effects like watery diarrhea, fever, or stomach pain occur.
