How To Use:
- Decapeptyl Triptorelin SR Injection is given as an injection into a muscle (intramuscular) by a healthcare professional. The dose and frequency depend on your condition and response to treatment. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose for you.
- For prostate cancer, Decapeptyl Triptorelin SR Injection can be given every 28 days (4 weeks), or as a longeracting injection every 3 or 6 months.
- For endometriosis and fibroids, Decapeptyl Triptorelin SR Injection is usually given every 28 days (4 weeks) for up to 6 months.
- For breast cancer, Decapeptyl Triptorelin SR Injection is given every 28 days (4 weeks) for up to 3 years or until menopause occurs.
- For early puberty, Decapeptyl Triptorelin SR Injection is given every 28 days (4 weeks) until the normal age for puberty.
Cautions & Warnings:
- Do not use Decapeptyl Triptorelin SR Injection if you are allergic to triptorelin or any of the other ingredients in the injection.
- Do not use Decapeptyl Triptorelin SR Injection if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you are trying to conceive.
- Do not use Decapeptyl Triptorelin SR Injection if you have severe kidney or liver problems, or if you have osteoporosis or a history of bone fractures.
- Consult your doctor before using Decapeptyl Triptorelin SR Injection if you have any of the following conditions: diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems, depression, epilepsy, or bleeding disorders.
- Consult your doctor before using Decapeptyl Triptorelin SR Injection if you are taking any other medicines, especially anticoagulants, antidiabetic drugs, anticonvulsants, or hormone replacement therapy.
- Decapeptyl Triptorelin SR Injection may cause side effects such as hot flushes, sweating, mood changes, headache, nausea, pain at the injection site, bone loss, reduced sex drive, vaginal dryness in women, and erectile dysfunction in men.
