• Apigen Eye Ointment 5 gm is used to treat bacteria-induced superficial infections of the eye and ear on addition to prompting reduction of inflammation.

Uses:

• For the treatment of bacterial eye infections involving the eyelids, conjunctiva, and cornea.


• To prevent ocular infections following the excision of a foreign body.


• To treat bacterial infections of the external ear (otitis externa).


• Effective against difficult bacteria such as Pseudomonas Aeruginosa.

How to Use:

• Squeeze the end of the tube to apply a small layer of ointment to the inside of the lower eyelid.


• Close your eyes carefully to spread the ointment.

Storage Conditions:

• Store below 25°c.


• Don't refrigerate the unopened container.


• Not to be used for more than 28 days after opening the container, unless otherwise is advised by your pharmacist.


• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the box/blisters/label.

Cautions & Warnings:

• If you are allergic to any of the components of this medication.


• If you notice changes in your vision or have eye pain.


• If you have eye discomfort or redness that worsens or lasts more than 72 hours.

Side effects:

• Blurred vision.


• Mild eye discomfort, burning, or stinging.

• Gentamicin.
