Product Description:

• Dermovate Ointment is a steroid medication used to treat various skin conditions such as dermatitis, eczema, and allergies.


• It reduces swelling, redness, and itchiness of the skin and prevents further irritation.

How To Use:

• This medicine is for external use only.


• Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor.


• Check the label for directions before use.


• Clean and dry the affected area and gently massage the ointment.


• It should be applied to the affected areas as a thin film two or three times daily, or as advised by your doctor.


• Avoid covering the treated area with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor.

Warnings And Precautions:

• Not recommended for use in children less than 1 year of age or older children and adolescents due to increased risk of immune suppression and atrophic changes.


• Should not be used on the face, axillae (armpits), groin, or areas with atrophy, except in exceptional circumstances under medical supervision.


• Not an antimicrobial or antifungal agent; should not be used in infections as it may worsen them by suppressing the immune system.


• Consult a doctor if the skin condition does not improve after four weeks or if infection occurs.


• Do not use for more than 4 consecutive weeks at a time.


• Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult their doctor before using, as it may be unsafe.


• Do not stop treatment prematurely even if symptoms improve; complete the full course as prescribed.


• Common side effects include skin atrophy, telangiectasia, skin irritation, dry skin.


• Other possible reactions: Burning sensation, irritation, redness, and swelling at the application site (temporary and usually resolve with time).


• Severe skin reactions are rare but may occur in hypersensitive individuals.
