About Product

Product Overview:

  • Julphamox (Amoxicillin) 20 Capsules is a penicillin antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections such as tonsillitis, bronchitis, sinusitis, pneumonia, and infections of the ear, nose, throat, skin, or urinary tract.

  • Amoxicillin clavulanate is a combination of amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium. The amoxicillin fights bacteria, and the clavulanate potassium helps prevent certain bacteria from becoming resistant to amoxicillin.

  • Amoxicillin is also sometimes used together with another antibiotic called clarithromycin (Biaxin) to treat stomach ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori infection. This combination is sometimes used with a stomach acid reducer called lansoprazole (Prevacid).

How it works?:

  • Amoxicillin kills certain bacteria by preventing them from being able to create their cell wall.

Benefits:

  • Amoxicillin is an antibiotic that is commonly used for infections caused by certain bacteria.

  • Amoxicillin may also be used for other conditions as determined by your healthcare provider.

  • Amoxicillin may not be appropriate for all infections. Some bacteria may have developed resistance to amoxicillin, which will make it not work as well.

  • Amoxicillin only treats certain infections caused by bacteria. It will not work for infections caused by viruses, such as the common cold, the flu, or coronavirus. It also will not work for any other infections that are not caused by bacteria. Taking amoxicillin or any other antibiotic when it is not needed may cause the antibiotic to not work for bacterial infections in the future.

Directions for Use:

FAQ:

  • Q. What should I do if I miss a dose of amoxicillin?

  • A. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and only take the next dose. Do not take double or extra doses.

  • It is important to complete your prescribed course of amoxicillin, even if your symptoms get better or go away. This will reduce the risk that future infections are resistant to amoxicillin or other similar medicines.

  • Q. What should I tell my healthcare provider before using amoxicillin?

  • A. Tell your healthcare provider about all of your health conditions and any prescription or over-the-counter (OTC) medicines, vitamins/minerals, herbal products, and other supplements you are using. This will help them determine if amoxicillin is right for you.

  • Q. What should you avoid while taking this medicine?

  • A. Antibiotic medicines can cause diarrhea, which may be a sign of a new infection. If you have diarrhea that is watery or bloody, call your doctor before using anti-diarrhea medicine.
