PRODUCT DESCRIPTION






• The Yuwell YT-1 is a non-contact infrared thermometer that measures body temperature from the forehead.


• Hold it near the forehead and press the button. The temperature appears in about one second, without touching the skin. This makes it easy to check a sleeping child, an elderly family member, or several people one after another without passing anything between them.


• A distance guide helps you hold the thermometer at the right spot each time, so your readings stay consistent. The device vibrates to tell you the measurement is done, and you can switch this to silent mode when you do not want any sound or movement to disturb a sleeping child.


• The backlit screen stays readable in a dark room, so you can take a night-time reading without turning on the lights. You can choose to display the result in Celsius or Fahrenheit.


• It turns itself off after 30 seconds of no use to save battery power. A practical choice for the family medicine cabinet, for schools and nurseries, and for anywhere a quick temperature check is needed.

CAUTION & WARNING





Before Use






• Read the user manual supplied with the device before first use and keep it for future reference.


• Let the thermometer sit in the room where you will use it for about 15–30 minutes before measuring, so it adjusts to the room temperature.


• Check that the sensor lens is clean and undamaged before each use.






For an Accurate Reading






• Make sure the forehead is clean and dry. Wipe away sweat, and remove hair, a hat, or a headband from the measuring area.


• Wait a few minutes before measuring if the person has just come in from outside, been near a heater or air conditioner, exercised, bathed, or eaten or drunk something hot or cold.


• Hold the device within the stated 0–5 cm distance and keep it steady, facing the centre of the forehead.


• Do not measure in a draught, in direct sunlight, or close to a strong heat source.


• Readings can vary between people and between measurement sites. Compare readings taken the same way, at the same site, rather than mixing methods.


• If a reading seems unexpected, wait a short while and measure again before acting on it.






Who Should Take Care






• Do not measure over broken, scarred, irritated, or freshly treated skin.


• Skin creams, oils, and cosmetics on the forehead can affect the result.


• For infants and young children, follow your doctor's advice on which measurement method to rely on.






Safe Use






• This device measures temperature only. It does not diagnose any illness and is not a substitute for examination by a healthcare professional.


• Do not use the readings to start, stop, or change any medication or treatment on your own.


• Contact a healthcare professional if the temperature is high or low, if a fever lasts, or if the person is an infant, is elderly, has a weak immune system, or seems unwell — regardless of what the reading shows. In an emergency, seek urgent medical help.


• Keep the device and its small parts out of reach of children. It is not a toy.


• Do not drop the device, expose it to strong impact, or use it if it is damaged.

• Do not point the sensor toward the eyes.

• Do not mix old and new batteries or different battery types.

• Do not immerse the device in water or any liquid, and do not clean it with abrasives, solvents, or high heat.


• Store in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight, dust, and extreme temperatures, and out of reach of children.


• Dispose of the device and used batteries according to your local regulations. Do not put them in household waste.
