How to Use the BM 58
Preparation
- Sit quietly for 5 minutes before taking a measurement.
- Avoid caffeine, smoking, or exercise 30 minutes before.
- Sit upright with your feet flat on the floor and your arm resting at heart level.
- Remove tight clothing from the upper arm.
- Applying the Cuff
- Wrap the cuff around your bare upper arm, 2–3 cm above the elbow.
- The tube should point downward along the inner side of your arm.
- The cuff should be snug but not too tight — you should fit two fingers between the cuff and your arm.
- Taking the Measurement
- Turn on the device using the touch sensor and select your user (1 or 2).
- Press the Start/Stop button. The cuff will inflate automatically.
- Remain still and silent during the measurement.
- When the cuff deflates, your systolic, diastolic, and pulse values will appear on the display.
- The color scale will indicate the category of your blood pressure (normal, elevated, high).
- The arrhythmia symbol may appear if an irregular heartbeat is detected.
- To ensure accuracy, wait 2 minutes and repeat the measurement.
After the Measurement
The reading is automatically stored in memory.
You can view past results and averages directly on the device.
If needed, connect the USB cable to transfer your results to your computer and view them in Beurer HealthManager Pro
How to Clean and Maintain
Turn off the device and remove the batteries before cleaning.
Wipe the monitor and cuff gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
Do not use alcohol, solvents, or abrasive cleaners.
Never immerse the device or cuff in water or any liquid.
Allow the cuff and device to dry completely before using or storing.
Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight or moisture.
If not used for a long period, remove the batteries to avoid leakage.
