Product Description

CAMZYOS contains mavacamten, a reversible cardiac myosin inhibitor. It reduces excessive heart contraction and obstruction of blood flow.

Indications: Who is it for?

CAMZYOS is used to treat adults with obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (oHCM).

How to use

Swallow the capsule whole with water at about the same time each day. It can be taken with food or between meals.

Dosage & Administration

The recommended starting dose is 2.5 mg or 5 mg once daily. Your doctor will prescribe a daily dose of 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, or 15 mg. Heart function is monitored with echocardiograms before treatment and regularly during treatment.

Warnings & Precautions

Regular echocardiograms are required to monitor heart function. Contact your doctor immediately if you develop new or worsening shortness of breath, chest pain, tiredness, palpitations, or leg swelling, as these may indicate heart failure.

Possible Side Effects

Very common side effects include dizziness and difficulty breathing. A common serious side effect is systolic dysfunction, which may lead to heart failure. Fainting may also occur.

Drug Interactions

CAMZYOS interact with certain antifungal, antibacterial, HIV, and cancer medicines. Tell your doctor or pharmacist about all medicines you take before starting treatment.

Contraindications

Do not take CAMZYOS if you are allergic to mavacamten or its ingredients, are pregnant, or are a woman of childbearing potential who is not using effective contraception. It must also not be taken with certain medicines that can increase mavacamten levels.

Storage Instructions

Store at or below 30°C and keep out of the sight and reach of children.
