Celezon contains ruxolitinib, which blocks JAK1 and JAK2 enzymes to help reduce spleen enlargement and symptoms related to myelofibrosis, polycythaemia vera, and graft-versus-host disease (GvHD).
Indications: Who is it for?
Used in adults with myelofibrosis or polycythaemia vera, and in patients aged 12 years and older with GvHD.
How to use
Take as prescribed, at the same time each day, with or without food. Do not stop or change the dose without consulting your doctor.
Dosage & Administration
The dose depends on your blood cell count and medical condition. The maximum dose is 25 mg twice daily.
Warnings & Precautions
Regular blood tests are required. Tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney problems, infections, or unusual bleeding. Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Possible Side Effects
Possible side effects include high cholesterol, headache, high blood pressure, nausea, abnormal liver tests, infections, anaemia, low blood cell counts, weight gain, and constipation. Serious infections and bleeding may also occur.
