Product Overview:
- Gyno-Pevaryl (Econazole Nitrate), 3 Vaginal Suppositories is a medication in the class of anti-infectives (for treating infections) and antiseptics for gynecological use.

Key Features:
- Gyno-Pevaryl 150 mg, 3 Vaginal Suppositories is indicated for thelocal treatment of yeast infections(conditions caused by microscopic fungi) of thevulva and vagina, which may sometimesbe complicated by a secondary bacterial infection.
How it Works?
- Gyno-Pevaryl 150 pessaries are solid, torpedo-shaped pessaries (vaginal suppositories). When inserted into the vagina they release a medicine called econazole nitrate. This belongs to a group of medicines called ‘antifungals.'
Benefits:
- Gyno-Pevaryl 150 pessaries are used for infections of the vagina and the skin around the vagina. The infections are caused by fungi and yeasts such as thrush (Candida).
Directions for Use:
- In most cases, the treatment lasts for 3 consecutive days
- Insert 1 suppository deeply into the vagina at bedtime, preferably while lying down.
- The easiest way to do this is to lie on your back with your knees bent and spread apart.
- Follow the recommended treatment duration even if symptoms (such as itching and white discharge) have disappeared or if your period begins.
- If your yeast infection persists, a second course of 3 suppositories may be necessary, either immediately after the first course or after a 10-day treatment-free interval.

- Econazole nitrate 150 mg

FAQs:
- Q. Can I use Gyno-Pevaryl during my period?
- A. Recommendations vary slightly by manufacturer guidance: some sources note you should discontinue use during heavy menstrual bleeding and restart after it ends, while other product leaflets suggest continuing treatment during menstruation. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for personalized advice on your cycle.
- Q. Does it affect birth control or contraceptives?
- A. Yes. Gyno-Pevaryl can damage the rubber or latex material in condoms and diaphragms, making them less effective.
- It may also inactivate spermicidal contraceptives. Avoid relying on these barrier methods during and shortly after treatment.

- A. No. Gyno-Pevaryl should not be used in combination with other internal or external genital treatments unless specifically advised by your healthcare provider.
